Books I have read recently.
Fear and Trembling- Søren Kieregaard

Pretty interesting apology of Christianity. I am not a Christian but I find Kierkegaard's arguments are interesting to say the least. I find religious writings to be interesting
Tao Te Ching- Lao Tsu
http://www.sacred-texts.com/tao/taote.htm
I like Tao Te Ching. I thought it provided some consolation with dealing with other people. Pretty interesting text. I like the serene passivity of Lao Tsu and I think this books provides peace to the reader. I don't really buy into eastern mysticism thing though.
Ego and Its Own- Max Stirner
http://www.lsr-projekt.de/poly/enee.htm
This was written by the German Individualist Anarchist Max Stirner who advocated that religion, ideology and nationalism are illusory concepts or in his words "spooks" which one should abandon to fully reach their own potential as a individual. I like his concept of reaching your true self rather than defining yourself and being defined by culture, ideology and religion. However I think these things cannot be escaped.
Conquest of Bread-Peter Kropotkin
http://dwardmac.pitzer.edu/Anarchist_Archives/kropotkin/conquest/toc.html
This was written by the Russian Anarchist writer Peter Kropotkin who advocated for dissolving the state and replacing it with highly autonomous communities which would be run by workers and farmers through direct democratic councils. This book criticizes capitalism and holds it as a system that is entirely contrary to the well-being of mankind and suggests that Anarchism should replace it,
Kingdom of God is Within You- Leo Tolstoy
http://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/4602/pg4602.html
This was written by Leo Tolstoy. This is considered to be a major Christian Anarchist text by many people . Tolstoy advocated that the state is completely contrary to the teachings of Christianity. He thought like Peter Kropotkin that the state should be dissolved and that small communal societies should replace it however he put an immense amount of emphasis
